The Library of La Roche Caribet

The Covenant Library is stored in the ground-level chamber of the Tower, with no entrance save from the inner staircase; it holds both the treasured books, and the Covenant's magical devices and Vis store and what mundane treasure they might hold. [Other mundane goods are stored in the basement and cellar below that.] The books themselves are stored flat on tables (to protect the spines of heavy books), in a cataloguing system devised and revised by each Librarius (currently Speculor Bonisagi) so that the Librarius may best find any book they need. [And some might say, so that others might not find the same...]

Although the books are stored in a dark window-less room, there is also a fine Scriptorium at the very top of the Tower, with many shutters which open to allow in daylight.
