Most spells are gathered into grimoires, which are
held on the library shelves.
Some spells are only held as a scroll or individually-bound book. These are usually
spells known by one of the covenant members. A few spell texts are held
privately by individual Magi.
As a guard against damage to the originals in magical accidents, the covenant has had copies made of some spells. Each is bound separately with wooden boards covered in deer-hide or, particularly for the shorter, first and second magnitude spells, left as a rolled scroll of parchment. All are written quite small on ordinary parchment with narrow margins using black ink only.
