In all cases examined, this has been due to errors converting from Ars Magica 3rd Edition, and should use Momentary instead.
Momentary spells are there-and-gone, but may leave residual effects which take time to revert or dispel. Extending the duration of any such spells enforces the effect for the spell duration before natural reversion commences (E.g. CrAu Air's Ghostly Form, creates a thick fog Momentarily, which then dissipates over a minute; a Moon duration spell would remain, undissipated by natural effects until the change of moon, and then dissipate like the shorter version. Or, PeCo guidelines for Level 15 - cause one Body level damage - the Momentary spell causes a wound which can immediately start to heal naturally; a Moon duration wound could not heal until the Moon turned.)
Permanent spells have an enduring magic to enforce their effects (until dispelled). Instant spells create Permanent objects which cannot be dispelled, using here-and-gone magics to achieve this in an Instant.
We should not use Instant duration for anything other than undispellable Creation. Other spells listed as Instant should be revised to be either Momentary or Permanent.
Since many spells are affected, the complete list for this is moved to here.
The spell Full health Of Beast And Bird should be brought into line with the other restorative CrXx General spells, as an Instant Ritual, and read:
Cancels or reverses the effects (other than death) of a malign Animál spell, such as The Falcon's Hood (PeAn 20), if you can match or exceed the level of the spell with the level of this Ritual.
