and pleas afterwards

at Castellar, surrounded by her former superiors (now more aged) and grogs
from then and now-grown-up.

him to flee.
- May - Speranda's kitten proves able to pass through closed doors
in its quest to explore, and so "explores" the sancta of the other

& Speculor are away (Vis hunting) and must wait until June to discover
the wreckage...
|

|
- Kraken, Skeletons and Kitten - Speranda
notes that on her way back from Castellar, across the Bay of Biscay,
she was taken through a storm by the Redcap Jézéquel of Fudarus,
and watched Jézéquel dive down to some Leviathon-like creature
- Speranda went on to the Valley of the Mists, hoping to have Gwénolé's
assistance, but had to work alone
- Meanwhile, Iuris and Elise went to Lamballe to investigate a plague of
skeletons... (as also noted
by Helissente)
- Once home, the Faerie Kitten Speranda adopted proved to be an escapologist
and rampaging nuisance, until it was bound into a circle in Speranda's lab!

- June-July - Joach off at Septem Montes and Fornacula
- August - Constantine returns with a bumper haul of found Vis!

magical qualities of her father must have helped).
|

|
- Kitten Escapes, and Phoenix Feathers - Alacritas
proves to be an escape artist until confined in a Warding Ring.
- Speranda notes
that Joach went to Septem Montes to present Dergorus his Parens, with Little
Saskia, the flying pig.
Dergorus in turn asked Joach to perform a small task for him and his associates,
and to travel to Fornacula and retrieve a feather from the Phoenix "automaton"
in the Sanctum of their Princeps, Evaristo - the prime Flambeau magus in
the Normandy Tribunal...

are a foregone conclusion, stitched up between the three present.
|

|

Helissente's new baby has the Sight, and sees Faeries. When only a few months
old, she is abducted by goblins, who take her to a Dryads' Grove, where
she settles down happily with the Dryads.

a rescue mission.
- Speranda subsequently sent a written
account to Gwénolé le Guen

and changes ship at Boulogne

fields

annoy everyone with her righteous attitude, and worry them with her uncanny

and their invisible webbing, is found, traced and destroyed with the help
of the Hermitage.

of his capture by Hags
- March/April - Speranda returns to the Valley of the Mists
|

|
- Constantine and the Siren Hag - Constantine is caught in an unnatural
storm as his boat approaches Brittany, and thrown onto the offshore rocks.
He and his companions wake to find themselves the prisoners
of Siren-like Hags, in a Faerie Regio
Maud is rejected by the Hags, and escapes, then returns with a female-only
rescue party, to save Constantine's skin (and broken ribs!)
- Iuris Perita finds VI Pawns of Perdo Vis in icicles at the heart of the
maze in the Regio, and contemplates returning in the hope of more!
- Constantine is brought home, temporarily mended by Elise's necromancy.
Council make the unusual decision to allow IV pawns of Vis to be used to
heal the worst of his wounds, so that his subsequent recovery might only
take 1 Season!
- Meanwhile, Speranda repeats her re-enactment of saving Cierella from the
Dream Stone, aided by Maga Gwénolé le Guen

|
| Summer 1227 |
- June - Council session - more devices to be made!
- June - Speranda visits the ruins of Haeconius
- September - Julian, Voice of Fudarus called, with a letter to the
magi, inviting them to a gathering of Breton Magi. It seems Fudarus fancy
forming a voting bloc, and think the Breton Bloc would be the largest faction
within the Tribunal, aiding its members in getting motions approved at the
coming 1228 Tribunal - visions of Eleusinus suffering...
|

|
- The Abandoned Covenant of Haeconius - Speranda takes her cue from Letitia
and Buviniolus and goes to investigate
the fallen covenant of Haeconius, to discover it plagued by Faerie "Twilight
Blooms". She is thrown into Twilight, and returns scarred and warped:
she is now Burned-by-Iron and her Touch Rusts Iron. Letitia is delighted
that Speranda should sacrifice so much to become one with the Fae that she
immediately invites Speranda to visit and enter the secret ways of Faerie!

at the coming 1228 Tribunal, and makes arrangements for an exchange of copied
texts with Wirbelnia.

but these are stolen by the greed-riven Silverwright. He is pursued, captured,
returned, tried, and hanged.

tales of the Old Ways. The women of the village find the story teller quite
absorbing... Rubea and Amelle stop by often to learn more.
- Speranda learns that Buviniolus is to further his studies of Faerie Magic
by claiming the apprentice of Gwénolé le Guen. Gwénolé
is furious and blames Speranda.

|
| Winter 1227 |
- December - Hermetic and Faerie visitors arrive for Midwinter. Council
meets and the Bountiful Feast is renewed.
- January - damp in the grain
- February - outlaws and Faerie floods
|

|
- Of the Fae -
both charming and angry
Magi gathered at Caribet for the Midwinter feasts - friends and rivals;
and 2 newcomers: Tremere magi from Transylvania.
Quercus again set up his pavilion at the Faerie Oak.
- Redwald is sent to the Peat Bogs to gather Vis, as punishment for carrying
the sleeping Constantine down to the Troll's Cave.
- The weather turned damp and grain rotted, outlaws roamed the area. Speranda
tried spells to help, botched, and was scarred by her Twilight so that the
sweet orange-blossom scent of her Sigil is joined by the smell of mouldering
grain.
- 3 Outlaws were slain in what turned out to be the Regio of a Faerie-of-the-waters,
who flooded the river past Plaintel in her efforts to wash away the taint
of Iron.
Speranda was able to share sympathy with her, as well as clearing the rubbish
so that the waters went down.
|

- Speranda visits the Valley of the Mists without Gwénolé
- Speranda then leaves for an extended trip to Montes Plani in Germania
where she hopes to learn the secret of Faerie Magic

- Bertrand Saved
By Necromancy: Bertrand is arrested on trumped up charges of murder
- set up, it turns out, by the brothers of his deceased wife Eloise. Eloise's
ghost is contacted by Maga Elise's companion spirit "Cat". Elise
then took charge and shepherded her new maids into Necromancy body snatching
and a bit of Haunting.

|
| Summer 1228 |
- July 4th - New Moon and the 1228 (AA 1367) Normandy Tribunal
- June-September - Speranda variously in Germania or Arcadia
- September 15th - Full Moon and Equinox
|

|
- 1228 Normandy Tribunal - Speculor
wrote to Speranda, passing on to her Joach's account of his attendance
at the 1228 Tribunal. He tells of meeting Séanna (now apprentice
to Buviniolus), and of the problems when a Faerie broke into the Aegis at
Petrusca and caused mischief.

- Speranda
spent much of Spring travelling to the Harz Mountains in Germany, to Montes
Planis;
then spent all Summer learning the Mystery of Faerie Magic;
then spent much of Autumn travelling back
- In the course of their travels they acquired Reinfeld the Translator,
and saved the True King of Summer from the demonic False King who had usurped
his place. (Don't tell Iuris Perita!)

|
| Autumn 1228 |
- September-mid-October - Speranda returns
- December - reports of bands of Flagellants roaming the area
|

|
- At the Harvest
Moon - 4 more daughters.
Quercus, Lord of the Oaks, came for the birth of his daughter, with Sir
Achilles looking on...
- After returning,
Speranda then extracted Alacritas from the warding spell which had penned
her for so long, and took her away from the Covenant, into Faerie lands,
where she was released.

- Lady Helissente records
the birth of her beautiful daughter, Fleur, and her curly leafed "hair"
and leaf green eyes...
She also records the intrusion of Flagellants into the village in December.
|
| Winter 1228 |
- December 13th-14th - Midwinter: getting rid of the band of Flagellants
- December 15th - failed Feast of Misrule
- December to March - all Turb soldiers on active patrol ensuring
barriers at cross-roads deflect travellers (i.e. other bands of Flagellants)
on to other roads.
No grogs can be spared to hunt in the Peat Bogs...
|

|
- Famine and Flagellants:
crops failed and damp rotted grain in the stores... poor peasants driven
from their land formed bands of Flagellants wandering from place to place,
preaching the Wrath of God.
- Midwinter approached, magi from Brittany, Cornwall and Petrusca gathered
in Caribet Village to socialise, conduct business and enjoy the Midwinter
Feast
- Just before Midwinter, a band of Flagellants arrived in Caribet village,
despite the magi's attempts to distract them, bringing a roving Dominion
Aura - with a Wrathful Temper!
F. Edwin recorded what he saw in
Caribet.
- With the visiting magi and all Faerie Blooded characters camping in and
around the Tower, the situation seemed dire... help from the Hermitage came
in the form of the hellfire brother Petrus, who would rather preach damnation
to the magi than aid them, but had been instructed by his Prior to persuade
the Flagellants to leave peacefully.
- Once free of the Dominion, all that remained was to cast The Bountiful
feast and wait for the faeries to hop into the wine cups and make Muto Vis...
but none came!

|
| Spring 1229 |
|
|

|
- The Haunted Forest
- the Forêt de Lorge lives up to its reputation and scares away the Bishop
of St. Brieuc.
Speranda also spent the season studying Faerie Sight with Amelle, and suffering
the indignity of having Amelle, Rubea and Fleur, and the wet-nurse, all
move into her sanctum for the Season!
- F. Edwin recorded his own experiences, visiting Quintin and meeting the
Bishop and Canon Philbert there. It seems people have noticed the vacancy
in Ploeuc and seek to fill it!

|
| Summer 1229 |
|
|
|
- The Quest For
A Gardener - attempts to draw back the missing Field Faeries lead Speranda
on a quest into Arcadia. There they found a curious series of walled gardens
and three gardeners (or one gardener in three guises?).

|
| Autumn 1229 |
|
|
|
- F. Albertus Is
Saved... by Speculor and Industria, when he gets possessed by a Fire
Elemental. The Covenant acquires a set of books, spells and raw Vis from
a deceased Spirit Master (well, a dead Hedgie, anyway... very dead... quite
messily really... and a Hedgie...)

- Some notes on what Speculor really go
up to... the bits Speranda was not told, but which can be revealed here...
|
| Winter 1229 |
|
|
|
- The Wind Man in the Peat Bogs

|
| Spring 1230 |
|
|

|
- Jimena searches for an Apprentice, and finds one.

|
| Summer 1230 |
|
|
|
- The Midsummer Regio plays up - we have a Faerie Aura in the village!

|
| Autumn 1230 |
- September the 3rd: Speranda hears from Wirbelnia - they have problems
with magical water currents, around the Herm pillars in their lower caves.
- September 12th-17th: exploring the caves at Wirbelnia, and the links to
the Caribet Glades
- September the 16th - Autumn Equinox: Alain Kerbol botches (deliberately?)
a spell using a huge stash of Herbam Vis (possibly much of the store at
Wirbelnia). When the flux clears, he has passed into Final Twilight, leaving
behind a Great Oak.
- September the 23rd: Iuris Perita returns from "further training"
at Objurgator.
|
|
|
| Winter 1230 |
- December the 14th: Winter Solstice, and the Village enters an Aura of
Bright Winter. Dewdrops turn to diamonds, and similar magics... unfortuantely,
it all only lasts until Christmas Eve when the Dominion took over again.
- The Midwinter Feast was infested with fairies, but not the cute Field
Faeries - rather then sharp spiky cruel Frost Faeries. Oops! (Much muttering
about the wisdom of Speranda's plan!)
- December-March - Floristan searches the Peat Bogs in competition with
the party led by Zane.
- January the 17th: Lady de Robien visits
- January the 25th: assorted magi work out that Robien's problems relate
to ancestral bargains with the Fae, and find a solution (a replacement groom).
|
|
- Bright Winter
& Foul Bargains: Lady de Robien pleads for assistance for her peope
(in her busband's absence at Court). It turns out to be a "7th Son"
problem with a Water Hag... and a twin cousin...
